Do you know your "actual" size?

Many other brands "vanity size" and the sizes listed on the tag are not the actual measurements. We recommend that you grab a pair of pants that you already own that fit you well and measure them. To get an accurate measurement, zip the zipper, button the button, lay them down flat and measure across the very top to get the actual waist (then double it). Then order your Buletprufes based on that measurement.

Our Adventure Fit is a classic, straight cut, roomy but not loose through the thighs and then straight from the knee down to the ankle.
Adventure Fit Jeans, and Khakis
Our Slim Fit is a little more fitted through the thighs, but still with enough room to move, and then tapers from the knee to a narrower ankle. Tailored, fitting, but definitely not "skinny."

What are your pants made from?

- We use a proprietary nylon, cotton, polyester, and spandex quad-blend fabric that we developed in house.

What is the difference between Bulletprufe chinos and jeans?

- The only difference between the chinos and the jeans is the pockets. They are both made from the same Bulletprufe Quad-Blend Fabric and fit the same. The chinos have slit side pockets with a large coin/cell phone pocket on the right side and slit rear pockets with an interior pocket bag. They're just as durable as our denim, but a tad more formal. Our jeans are a standard five-pocket.

What is the difference between Bulletprufe Slim Fits and the Adventure Fits?

- The slims are a more tapered fit, though by no means "skinny." For a 32" waist, the slims measure 24.5" at the thigh and 15" at the ankle. The Adventure Fits are more like a typical straight fit and measure 26" at the thigh and 17" at the ankle.

Customer Service is phenomenal

"I ordered a pair of the pants and also a pair of shorts and I was missing the oil wax stick in my order. Because the smell was so strong the I read the label on the pants and it said to wash and cold water, which I did. I washed them and when I called Customer Service they said no you shouldn't put them in the washer you should've received a little block of oil to oil them and they sent me another pair before they probably even got mine back that I went to return. This small company is A++++++++. They have awesome customer service and they don't mess around on returns or exchanges. I will definitely be doing business with them for a long long time. Highly recommend A+ plus plus plus."

Sorta what I ordered…

"The pants seem to be good quality and will likely last but the they aren’t exactly what I ordered and the process/customer support is not confidence inspiring. About a week after purchasing, I hadn’t gotten a notice that they’d shipped so left a message with the company. No response. Tried again a few days later and the guy got back to me by text and said they actually didn’t have my size in stock but would in a couple months. He ok’d a refund but also offered to hem a longer pair to fit. I was leary they’d come out weird or ghetto but he assured me, “They all start off the same and then we just cut depending on the desired length,” so I said ok. They arrived and the hem was uneven and ghetto, lol. The tag also said 32/32, not just the waist size so it doesn’t seem like they all come one size and are hemmed to fit by Bulletprufe. The pants also smell, like really strongly. Definitely something to consider if you buy a pair — hopefully it will fade over time. These things are in the neighborhood of $300 and the overall quality seems good, just not the service. My opinion may change over time, but right now I wouldn’t buy from Bulletprufe again."

Worried for the cost!

"The quality of these jeans is worth every penny."

Intriguing

"I’m new to oil-waxed denim, and so far I love it. Spots mostly brush off, and a little wax plus heat fixes them. They don’t absorb smells, which is great. That said, what if you spill coffee or something heavier? Care instructions for tough stains are unclear, which is frustrating for a $300 pair. Also, more wax would be helpful as I was only sent 2 small cubes for 3 pair. Overall, intriguing but some unanswered questions."

Love the oil waxed pants!

"I am wearing them right now as I give thise review. I have been wanting to get a pair for years, but hesitant to spend the money. Always kept a low budget on work and casual pants. But since developing an addiction to Japanese Selvedge Jeans I have loosened the purse strings. So first let me say how good these pants look. The color on the whiskey pair is like to no other. They really are unique. The fit is perfect and the pants are incredibly comfortable soft and flexible. Because of the wax treatment they are surprisingly heavy, but not that you would feel when wearing. The only negatives at this point is that they have a very strong chemical smell and they dont breath in warm weather. I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico and its winter here. The pants are warm & comfortable in cold & windy weather, but the one warm day we had was a bit sweaty, so not sure how they will be in the summer. I've worn these a lot since getting them and the smell is still very strong. Hoping that goes away soon, but its not enough of a deterrent from wearing them. I look just too damn good in them. All in all I think these pants will last me a long time and will age very nicely. Thinking about getting another pair in a different color next fall."

Great Jeans

"Can be used to take the wife on a date or in the woodshop! They look and feel great doing both. Customer support has been a pleasure to deal with handling my color exchange needs."

these are the . . . well . . . you get it.

"I got these cuz I needed a pair of paints that can handle the rain, the wind, the brush and briars, and look good doing it. These are the . . . well . . . you get it. When I first started putting them on, I didn't think they were going to fit. But then that stretch - that sorcery of comfort that bulletprufes have built in - clamped onto me, and I knew they were gonna be a favorite. Broke them in today on a warmish day, and - yes - they hold in the heat, but that's a good thing when you're bustin' it outdoors in the snow or weather of the winter. I feel like, since I sweat in them a little, they're now mine; conformed to my form - such as it is. The photo is of a 62-year old man bending and stretching in a pair of oil-waxed Bulletprufes that he could wear to dinner or bushwhacking. Get 'em . . . just do a little measuring of your favorite pair of trousers, cuz these guys don't do vanity sizing. I'm heading to Montana, so maybe I'll let you know how they perform up there along the Yellowstone in Winter."
